I like the sound of that - shame that the record keeps jumping ;)

Damn!
This is Mylene's best album in years!

It's like a return to the style of Anamorphosee - not in the meaning that it's obsolete but in the way that it has a more rock-like sound, still sounding fresh and up-to-date. Interstellaires and Love Song are the best examples of that! [d065.gif]

Thank God she abandoned most of those silly electronic bleep-bloops, tinny beats and infantile arrangements that have marred our existence since Degeneration!
C'est Pas Moi manages to be a good danceable song without those drawbacks.

The album has the darkness and the light, sadness and joy.
The "dark" numbers aren't excessively sombre and depressing.
The "light" ones are often uplifting but not in an agitating way.
City of Love and Voie Lactee are nice midtempo songs (the latter also has an interesting, somewhat unusual rhythm);
Un jour ou l'autre is amazing, it has something sublime about it, elevated, as if she were flying into the sky!!

and A Rebours also has this "soaring" quality, plus it is unusually structured vocally - first the "speaking", then the singing and the high notes - she hits them so effortlessly everywhere! [8.gif]

On the whole, she sounds great throughout the album! [a025.gif]

What's also important, most of the songs on this album make me want to listen to them again and again - which I can't say about Bleu Noir or even about many songs on Monkey Me and Point de Suture.

This, this is the kind of album what I've been longing to hear from Mylene for many years! [36.gif]
Bravo and thank you, Mylene!!! [a036.gif]

Thx Xcat, and everyone else providing dl-links/info....

After listening to it once, A Rebours (has a definite Air feel to it), C'est Pas Moi (very Daft Punk/NiIe Rodgers-sounding), I Want You To Want Me (just the way a cover should be done), and the title track, are the ones I liked the most.
